Jinhae Cherry Blossom Festival

Jason and I went to Jinhae two weekends ago to absorb the splendor of ripe cherry blossoms. Apparently they bloomed about two weeks late this year, but the festival proved to be an enormous success. So much so that we had to push and shove our way onto a bus, where we stood all up in each others' business for around an hour. One very positive result of this close proximity is that we made friends with a nice Korean guy about our age who grew up in Jinhae and apparently wanted to practice his English. He insisted that the cherry blossoms near his house were the most beautiful and that he would take us to them and guide us around town. And guide us he did! It was a totally wonderful day and the fact that it took us hours to catch any transportation out of town seems a nominal price to pay for the fun that was had.
